Robert Freeman met The Beatles in the early 60's and came to photograph and design five of the group's record-covers. E.g."Rubber Soul" and "A Hard Day's Night". Gered Mankowitz moved into the music-industry after having photographed the duo Chad and Jeremy's first album. He met with Marianne Faithfull whose manager introduces him to The Rolling Stones. As a result of this he created the cover for "Out Of Our Heads" which was the major breakthrough for Mankowitz. The works that are shown at Hotel Tylösand are bringing us back to perhaps the most important decade of the pop-culture. Robert Freeman and Gered Mankowitz were the main-photographers for two of the most important and greatest bands in the worlds history, The Beatles and The Rolling Stones." pressrelease swedish text | ||
